SSRE provides deep water and unrestricted navigable access directly to its facility. A berthing wharf with mooring space of approximately 400 metres in length provides excellent in water service capabilities for pre and post refit activities.
Vessels may be berthed directly outside workshops with full service adjacent including shore power, fresh water, compressed air and fire fighting facilities.

General Services and Activities

SSRE provides a full range of repair and refit activities related to the marine and general engineering industry.
Our main functions are slipping, repairs and refits, modifications and rebuilds to all types of marine vessels ranging from small boats to commercial, defence, private and luxury vessels up to 65 metres.

SSRE labour force varies subject to our requirements and contracts undertaken from time to time.
We maintain a full compliment of permanently employed managers, supervisors, administrative staff who have a proven and respected history in the marine industry.
We maintain a full tem of tradespersons including boilermakers, shipwrights and boat builders, marine fitters and machinists, painters and protective coating specialists,

SSRE also has a group of support sub-contractors for electrical, hydraulic, refrigeration, engine and electronic works as required. These contractors have been engaged by SSRE for a number of years and under SSRE management provide excellent support services.

OH&S / Industry Standards

SSRE is committed to the safety of our staff, all persons on site and our clients vessels and equipment. We therefore have in place OH&S procedures and standards which are strictly adhered to and all persons coming on site are required to report to office and undertake a brief induction respective to visit and their work requirements.

All staff is employed under the NSW Mechanical Industry Award and is reimbursed with over award and industry benefits applicable to our operation.
